This SHOCKTOBER, PIX11 was the place for Halloween thrills and chills with over 23,000 unique viewers watching the exclusive PIX11 broadcast of the NYC Village Halloween Parade on Halloween night 7:30p-11pm on the 11 ALIVE online television channel.
The Village Halloween Parade, now in its 40th year, is the nation’s largest public Halloween celebration. PIX11, the official broadcast home of the Village Halloween Parade since 2010, aired the Parade on Thursday, October 31st from 7:30-9pm on PIX11, with extended coverage through 11pm on the 11 ALIVE Stream. The parade broadcast was hosted by PIX11 News at 5 and 10 Anchors Scott Stanford and Tamsen Fadal with PIX11 Morning News Anchors Marysol Castro and Dan Mannarino covering the parade route.
The only night time parade in New York City, the Village Halloween Parade, which returned after being cancelled by Superstorm Sandy in 2012, runs along 6th Avenue between Spring Street and 16th Street in Manhattan and features a costumed audience of over 2 million spectators with 60,000 costumed marchers, hundreds Halloween characters, including giant masks and puppets, dozens of marching bands playing music from around the world, stilt walkers, jugglers, break dancers and other street performers.

This year, the Parade’s Artistic and Producing Director, Jeanne Fleming, celebrated her 33rd year directing the Parade, which is executive produced by Peter Rosegarten of the Conversation Company, Ltd.
